  19. today that for a limited time it will bundle its 
  20. Printer Server and Dial-Up Connection StationWare 
  21. software applications, valued at $99 each, at no 
  22. charge with the Central Station connectivity 
  23. processor. The Central Station connectivity processor, 
  24. priced at $595, is a modem-sized multiport hardware 
  25. device that uses StationWare software to provide 
  26. laptop connectivity, remote dial-up and print serving 
  27. capabilities to LANtastic or NetWare Ethernet 
  28. networks.

  30. The Central Station/StationWare bundle is available 
  31. immediately for both LANtastic and NetWare networks. 
  32. The LANtastic Central Station/StationWare bundle comes 
  33. with all three StationWare applications -- laptop 
  34. connectivity, remote dial-up and print serving. The 
  35. NetWare Central Station/StationWare bundle comes with 
  36. StationWare for laptop connectivity and print serving, 
  37. as well as a coupon for free remote dial-up software 
  38. which will be released later this summer.

  48. The Central Station connectivity processor allows 
  49. users to quickly connect/disconnect a variety of 
  50. peripherals such as laptops, notebooks, printers and 
  51. modems to a LANtastic or NetWare network without 
  52. disrupting the network. It connects to Ethernet 
  53. networks running either thin coax or 10BASE-T cabling 
  54. and features a PC interface port, one parallel port, 
  55. two serial ports and an optional SCSI port as well as 
  56. 128K onboard upgradeable RAM.

  58. The Printer Server StationWare software adds print 
  59. serving capabilities to the Central Station 
  60. connectivity processor so that users can set up 
  61. printers in convenient locations without using a 
  62. single expansion slot or a PC printer port. This 
  63. software can support up to three printers -- one 
  64. parallel and two serial. Each serial port can be 
  65. configured for a different baud rate, type of parity 
  66. and number of stop bits. The serial ports can 
  67. communicate at speeds up to 38.4 kilobits per second.

  69. The LANtastic Dial-Up Connection StationWare software 
  70. adds remote access capabilities to a LANtastic network 
  71. through a modem attached to the Central Station 
  72. connectivity processor. Remote users can dial in to 
  73. the LANtastic network and log in to servers, use e-
  74. mail, print to network printers and share and transfer 
  75. files just as if they were attached locally. All the 
  76. features of the LANtastic Network Operating System 
  77. will be available to the remote computer, and it can 
  78. communicate with any other PC in the network.

  80. This Central Station/StationWare bundle offer is 
  81. limited-time offer and is subject to discontinuation 
  82. without notice. Users who purchased the Dial-Up 
  83. Connection and Printer Server StationWare applications
